It's important to start this process as soon as possible and check the App often to see when specialty dining and other cruise enhancements are available for your cruise.

On-the-Ground Guidance:

💎 Timeshare Agent Awareness: Be mindful that timeshare agents may approach you at the airport or resort. They are not affiliated with your travel package, and their offers can disrupt your precious vacation time.

💳 Smart Spending: Use a valid credit card or cash for purchases in Aruba. Avoid using debit cards, as they carry more risk.

Resort Check-In: Upon arrival, the resort will require a valid credit card to place a temporary hold for any incidentals or charges. This form is a requirement for entry and must be completed at least 72 hours before travel. Please make your way to the following site to complete this step: https://eticket.migracion.gob.do/ 

Additionally, ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned return date, and please double-check that the name matches exactly with your airline and resort booking confirmations.

Using credit cards is usually advantageous abroad—they offer a layer of fraud protection and often net you more favorable exchange rates than cash or debit cards. They also cut down the need to carry large amounts of currency. However, it's wise to have a modest amount of cash for places that don't accept cards or to show appreciation for good service. I do not recommend using debit cards while traveling outside of the U.S.

Always keep your travel documents accessible during your journey. They contain vital contact information, including a 24-hour phone number for assistance should you need it. For all international flights, you should arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure time. Be sure to reconfirm all flights 24 hours before traveling. If transfers are included in your package, only use the transfer agents listed in your travel documents.

Please be aware that timeshare agents at airports and resorts may offer complimentary dining or other incentives. They are not associated with your travel package and will only take time away from your vacation.
 

Upon check-in at your resort, they will require a credit card for any incidental charges and place a temporary hold on your credit card account. If you have no additional charges at the resort, the hold will be removed from your account approximately ten days after departure.

- Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond your scheduled return date, even though the requirement is only for the duration of your stay. This helps avoid any issues or denied boarding at check-in. You must have your passport for all international flights, and I recommend arriving at the airport for all flights a minimum of three hours before departure.

Please double-check that the names (first and last) on your passport match those on your airline tickets and resort confirmation to ensure easy check-in. 

- U.S. citizens visiting Quintana Roo (Cancun and surrounding towns) must pay a Visitax tourism tax of MXN 259 (approximately USD 15) per person before arrival (subject to change). You can quickly pay this online at https://www.visitax.gob.mx/sitio/index.php the week before departure.

Upon check-in at your resort, they will require a credit card for any incidental charges and place a temporary hold on your credit card account. If you have no additional charges at the resort, the hold will be removed from your account approximately ten days after departure.

I recommend using credit cards or cash for all international travel, and you may want to exchange some currency to pesos before traveling for tips or other purchases while in Mexico. Most international airports have banks for currency exchange. 

Upon arrival, your room may not be ready. To start using the pools, beaches, restaurants, and bars, please pack your beach clothes in your carry-on. When traveling to a tropical destination, be sure to pack plenty of sunscreen.

You may encounter agents not associated with the resort, our agency, or the airlines who offer you free meals, tours, or giveaways. These agents are time-share agents and will take away from your vacation to listen to a presentation offering future travel. Time-share agents can be very pushy, so only see representatives at the front desk or those listed in the attached documents.
